Hey! Thanks for checking out my page - Belly of the Beat: Music and Culture Blog :) Let me introduce myself.

My name is Alex Lauria. I am a 27 year old living in Boulder, Colorado, and DJ for the community radio station here - KGNU 88.5 FM/1390 AM in Boulder/Denver. I decided to create this blog to start tracking my reviews of music, spotlight some wonderful local musicians (check out the ColoRADo playlist in the archived posts), and dissect/fully articulate my thoughts on events, artists, and people. While it won’t all be music related, that’ll certainly be the majority of the content, especially as I start things up. I’ll be posting on here a few times per month in some form or another (a mix of shorter and longer posts, different writing types, etc). This being said, if you want to subscribe free of charge, you’ll be sent my posts whenever they go up.

Regardless of subscription, if you like what you read or the music you find, feel free to message me on here or instagram @minesoflauria. My intent with this page revolves around community, self expression, and being more discipined with my own creativity - all things I encourage in others as well.
